What should I avoid while wearing my Hilo Band?

Depending on your Hilo Band version (see link: Understanding Your Hilo Band`s Water Resistance), it may or may not be suitable for showering or swimming.

Regardless of the version, avoid exposing your Hilo Band to:

  • Sauna or steam rooms

  • Soap, shampoos, conditioners, or soapy water

  • Other types of liquids like perfume, solvents, detergents, acids or acidic foods, insect repellents, lotions, sunscreen, oil, or hair dye.

When exposed to such a product, we recommend cleaning it with a damp tissue in water and only if necessary with cleaning alcohol and then thoroughly drying it with a soft cloth.

Adhering to these guidelines will contribute to the durability and consistent performance of your Hilo Band.
