On the “Insights” tab, you will see the total average of the last 7 days.
Important for new users:
Blood pressure measurements will only be displayed after 4 successful calibrations have been completed (one calibration per day during the first 4 days). Until then, no measurements or averages will be shown.
By tapping anywhere on the Average Blood Pressure display, you will be taken to the detailed blood pressure screen.
There, Hilo displays the average of all blood pressure measurements collected within each 2-hour time window.
At the top of the screen, you can choose to view daily, weekly, or monthly averages.
Below the table, you will also see your daytime and nighttime averages.
If you want to review all individual measurements, scroll down and tap “See all measurements”, or generate a PDF health report from the Insights screen.
For step-by-step instructions, please refer to: How do I generate a report of all the measurements? How can I share my data with my doctor?
Why does Hilo show averaged values?
Your blood pressure naturally fluctuates throughout the day and night due to physical activity, changes in posture, and stress. A temporary increase—such as after running for a bus—does not reflect your underlying cardiovascular status.
By averaging multiple measurements over 2-hour intervals, the Hilo App provides a smoother and more meaningful blood pressure curve, offering a more accurate representation of your overall blood pressure trends.
With the free plan, you will only be able to see the past 7 days' worth of measurements. To access the full Detailed Timeline Comparisons feature, please consider joining our Hilo membership.
